Brazil: The 400km Downwind Odyssey from Cumbuco to Jericoacoara
Riding the coastline of Ceará is a rite of passage for every kitesurfer. Our expedition isn’t just a stay; it’s a moving journey across 400km of pristine beaches, river mouths, and world-class lagoons.
The Wind & Climate:
From August to December, the «Trade Winds» hit the coast of Northeast Brazil with surgical precision. Expect 22 to 30 knots daily. The water temperature stays at a tropical 28°C, so leave your wetsuit at home—a lycra is all you need. The air is warm, the sun is constant, and the wind only sleeps at night.
Local Highlights & Logistics:
Cumbuco to Jericoacoara: We start in the birthplace of Brazilian kite and ride through iconic spots like Taíba, Paracuru, and Preá.
The 4×4 Support: This is the Rebels’ edge. While you ride the waves, our dedicated 4×4 fleet follows you on the sand, carrying your luggage, fresh water, and providing a safety net if you need a break.
The «Vila» Life: We end in Jeri, a magical town with sand streets where the famous «Pôr do Sol» dune becomes the meeting point for the world’s best riders every evening.
Join the elite 400km club. This is the downwind you will tell your grandkids about.
